Thammasat and Bangkok Bank Form Smart University Digital Ecosystem Partnership
Thammasat and Bangkok Bank Partner for Student Services 2025-2029

Thammasat University (TU) and Bangkok Bank Public Company Limited (BBL) signed an MOU on November 28, 2025, to provide student cards and registration fee payment services for the academic years 2025-2029. Attended by Prof. Dr. Supasawad Chardchawarn and Mr. Charamporn Jotikasthira (BBL Executive Director), this collaboration aims to enhance TU's digital infrastructure and develop a Digital Ecosystem. The goal is to transform TU into a Smart University and a Leading Comprehensive University, aligning with TU's strategies: Comprehensive University, University for Society, and sustainable happiness. Services include student ID issuance, Bill Payment for registration, expansion of digital services via the TU GREATS App, and promoting a convenient, swift Cashless Campus experience for the new generation.

Prof. Dr. Supasawad Chardchawarn, Rector of Thammasat University, stated that the collaboration between Thammasat University and Bangkok Bank represents a significant step in enhancing the university's comprehensive digital system. One of the key objectives is to promote the establishment of a Cashless Campus throughout the system. We are developing a Digital Ecosystem that will modernize students' learning experiences, catering to their lifestyle needs, from registration and tuition fee payments to expenditures within the university and participation in various activities through the TU GREATS App. He affirmed that Thammasat University's vision is to be a leading model for the future of society. He believes that the partnership with Bangkok Bank, an organization distinguished by its expertise in financial innovation and digital services, will significantly enhance learning, services, and personnel development. Furthermore, he is confident that this collaboration will yield considerable advantages for students, staff, and the wider society.

Mr. Charamporn Jotikasthira, Executive Director of Bangkok Bank Public Company Limited, expressed gratitude for the collaboration, stating, "We thank Thammasat University for entrusting Bangkok Bank to provide student cards and facilitate the payment of various registration fees for the academic years 2025-2029. This partnership continues the development of the TU GREATS App, which now includes the Virtual ID Card and has facilitated tuition and product payments since 2020. Bangkok Bank prioritizes stable and secure financial infrastructure for the education sector's large user base, leveraging technology and personnel to enhance convenience, speed, and safety at Thammasat University (TU). The collaboration aims to transform TU into a "Smart University" by integrating technology for financial management and student services, reducing paperwork, and streamlining data linkage. Students benefit from enhanced daily convenience with a single card. Over five years, the bank will further develop card services and payment systems, establishing a digital financial foundation at TU to support better educational quality aligned with the digital era.

The collaboration bolsters finance, innovation, and future skills curricula with courses like Financial Security, Entrepreneurship & Innovation, and Securities Investment. Key initiatives include the Smart U (YOU) Work Integrated Learning Program, the Bualuang Chair Professor project, the Digital Development and AI Management System project, and developing Pattaya as a technology and medical hub. This elevates Thai education to a new Digital Campus standard, improving the student and staff experience through a digital-age learning and living model.
